The theme of Disney World right now is more about construction than “magic,” but the good news is that all the construction is bringing more magic to the resort. Right now, though, things are a bit of a mess. In the parks, you’ve got major construction projects happening in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Yacht Club
Disney World hotels are also getting a ton of updates, including Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. Well, even MORE construction has moved into the Yacht Club, and we wanted to warn you about it if you’ll be visiting the hotel soon.
At the moment, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is undergoing a lot of exterior maintenance that is set to be completed in late 2026. That means views of various locations throughout the hotel and its property will be affected and require other ways of getting around. You’re also likely to see and hear construction work at the hotel during daytime hours. Right now, that construction work is affecting how you enter the hotel because the main entrance into the hotel is currently blocked off by construction walls.

This is the entrance that takes you into the hotel’s lobby, so if you’re headed to the lobby, you’ll see a “Please Pardon Our Pixie Dust” sign with an arrow directing you to an alternate route along the side of the building to get to another entrance into the hotel’s lobby, as well as Ale & Compass Restaurant.

We just wanted to give you a heads-up if you’ll be staying at the hotel soon; this might be the case when you arrive. It’s also important to note if you’re taking a break from EPCOT and want to head to this resort. As we previously mentioned, the work is expected to be completed by late 2026, so we’ll be keeping an eye out for updates, and we’ll let you know what’s going on. So stay tuned to DFB for more.
