The happiest cruise that ever sailed needs some TLC: on a recent trip to the Magic Kingdom, our reporters noticed multiple incidents of grime and deterioration at fan-favorite classic attraction ‘it’s a small world.’

‘it’s a small world’ Maintenance Issues

In the queue of the attraction, we noticed there was still some wrinkled mystery scrim attached to the base of the white and gold mural. There are also noticeable cosmetic issues on the bridge of the queue, including marks on the white paint and grime on the underside of the gold-colored metal beam.

From the boat, wear and tear along the waterline of the attraction is especially noticeable. There are dark lines where the facade meets the water, the white material of the facade is peeling away from the base, and several light bulbs are burnt out on one of the arches. Overall, the set pieces look dingy and grimy.

Even noticed that some of the toy soldier dolls, part of the attraction’s trademark exterior clock, need a little extra care.

Our reporters also commented that the Irish dancer and flamenco dancer dolls within the attraction have been missing for an extended period.
