Crews are working on repaving part of Sunset Boulevard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The street leads from the park’s main thoroughfare (Hollywood Boulevard) to The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

Sunset Boulevard Pavement Replacement

A large square of pavement is roped off outside the Once Upon a Time gift shop. This pavement is fresh, standing out as significantly darker than other nearby sections.

Past the ropes, another section is being prepared for repaving. There are scoring marks, indicating the old pavement will be torn up.

Frequent pavement replacement is necessary at Walt Disney World given how many people walk the sidewalks and roads daily, not to mention the occasional vehicle.

Earlier this year, the pavement at the park’s entrance was repainted.
