Monstropolis Construction Permits Filed for Harryhausen’s & Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Walt Disney Imagineering has filed two more construction permits for Monstropolis restaurants at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

One permit is for 359 Cypress Drive, the address for Harryhausen’s (previously Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano), and and the other is for 357 Cypress Drive, Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza (formerly PizzeRizzo).

Both permits are for “General Construction” and list general contractor PCL Construction, not giving us much information about the nature of the work.

Mama Melrose’s is being completely transformed as part of its Harryhausen’s makeover. An X-beam was installed in July for the facade’s giant chopsticks. Inside, the restaurant will have a sushi-slinging octopus animatronic.

We don’t know how much PizzeRizzo will change visually to become Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza, but it’s getting all-new recipes and equipment. It’s named after the six-legged Fear Tech mascot.
