More track for the Monstropolis roller coaster has arrived at the staging ground near Disney’s Hollywood Studios, We saw the first track raised at the coaster site in June.

Monstropolis Track

The track pieces are white curved cylinders. These are different from the boxier track pieces crews have installed so far. Both types also vary from traditional coaster track because this will be a suspended coaster. Near the track pieces is a scissor lift and a small crane.

Most of the other elements staged in this area are supports, either for the track, show building, or set pieces.

Monstropolis will open in phases beginning in 2027, but the coaster will open later. It’s under construction just outside of the former Muppets Courtyard, in a Cast Member parking lot.
