New collectible medallion machines have been spotted at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, offering a safari-themed set of Mickey and Friends designs.
Animal Kingdom Safari Medallions

The updated kiosk we found sits outside Riverside Depot, near the park entrance and exit. It stands next to a traditional souvenir coin machine and features a tall blue frame, wood-look panels, a touchscreen, sample medallions on display, tap-to-pay, and a dispenser slot at the bottom.
One medallion is $10. All four designs are $35.
The gold-tone medallions come sealed in clear plastic cases. Each reverse shows the Tree of Life with the Animal Kingdom wordmark.
Mickey and Friends Jeep Medallion

Mickey and Donald ride in a safari vehicle in the central image of the medallion, joined by Goofy and Pluto. The gold-colored border features a repeating geometric pattern.
“Disney’s Animal Kingdom” is engraved on the reverse side.
Donald Duck Medallion

In this medallion’s design, Donald Duck appears in the central image, holding a camera as he explores the safari at sunset.
Goofy Medallion

On this medallion, Goofy holds a map in the central image, exploring the jungle in his safari gear.
Mickey Mouse Medallion

Mickey Mouse carries a camera on this medallion’s central image, exploring the savanna in his safari gear.
Lion King Conservation Fund Medallions

Another new machine is outside Mombasa Marketplace and Zuri’s Sweets Shop in Africa. The wood-and-teal kiosk matches the surrounding African-inspired architecture and sits just outside the shop entrance among Lion King merch.
This set also costs $10 for one medallion or $35 for all four.
Simba and Mufasa Medallion

Simba and Mufasa appear together in the central image, standing on the savanna beneath the African sun. The silver-colored border features a repeating geometric pattern.
The reverse features the Disney Conservation Fund logo surrounded by silhouettes of various animals.
Simba and Friends Medallion

Simba, Nala, Timon, and Pumbaa appear together in the central image, standing on Pride Rock beneath a bright blue sky. The gold-colored border features a repeating triangular pattern.
Scar Medallion

Scar appears in the central image, surrounded by hyenas in a scene from The Lion King. The silver-colored border features a repeating geometric pattern.
These medallions are part of the newer machines Disney has been installing across Walt Disney World. Similar sets have recently appeared at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and several resorts.
If a machine does not dispense properly, let a Cast Member know. They can send you to a nearby register where a small box of the medallions from that dispenser is kept behind the counter.
