Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is in rough shape with issues in the queue and on the ride.

We first reported on issues with the queue wallpaper back in 2021. The decals were torn and peeled by guests picking at the wall. Disney tried painting over the damage before ultimately removing the decals and installing new ones. Peeling problems persisted, though, particularly at the seams where decals meet.


Now Disney is using packing tape to cover the seams. We saw it in several spots along the queue.




That’s not enough to stop guests, however. On the lower halves of the wall (at child height), tape has been removed and pieces of the wallpaper are peeling again.
On-Ride Technical Difficulties

We noticed two major issues on the ride this week. The twister set piece is not currently spinning and the Daisy animatronic is leaning significantly to one side. Both problems are apparent in our video below.
