The Olaf animatronic that leads Olaf Draws! is having technical difficulties on the morning of September 22, forcing the show to close. The Magic of Disney Animation is also experiencing audio issues.

Technical Difficulties at The Magic of Disney Animation

Olaf Draws! opened with The Magic of Disney Animation at Disney’s Hollywood Studios earlier this month. Similar to past Animation Academy shows at Walt Disney World, guests learn to draw a Disney character during the experience.

However, it’s hosted by an animatronic Olaf instead of a live artist, which drew criticism from fans, who also pointed out that if the Olaf animatronic breaks down, the show can’t go on.

Now that fear has become a reality as Olaf Draws! is not currently performing due to issues with the animatronic as of 9:10 a.m. We don’t know when it will reopen.

We also noticed the music playing inside The Magic of Disney Animation was sporadic. The building was silent when we entered (video below) and though music eventually came back on, it continued to cut in and out.
