Aerial photographer bioreconstruct shared photos of Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, the newest Disney Vacation Club resort under construction at Walt Disney World. The otter slides have been completely installed and there is roofing progress as well. These photos were taken on September 19.

In The Wetlands pool area, more decking has been installed around the pool, lazy river, and water play area. Since bioreconstruct’s last aerial update, it appears crews have finished installing both giant otter sculptures and their slides. The otters are named Addy and Bonnie.

Meanwhile, crane sculptures are in place on the other side of The Wetlands, leaning over the lazy river. One crane is at the end of a bridge that crosses the river. In the pool are pieces of a spiral waterslide, staged for installation. Compare to concept art of The Wetlands below.

The zero-entry feature pool in The Wetlands will be named Lakeshore Lagoon. While real palm trees have been planted, no larger-than-life cattails are in place.

Other than the installation of a bit more decking, there aren’t visible changes at the quieter Cypress Point pool. On the resort building itself, a tree mural is complete at the end of a wing. Crews continue to install sheathing and paneling on the resort walls.

Roof work progresses across the resort, most obviously on Moonglade, the lakefront restaurant. Crews have covered the plywood paneling and steel frames of overhangs with sheathing. An overhang on the side of the restaurant facing the resort has yet to be covered.

Lakeshore Lodge is scheduled to open on July 1, 2027. Bookings will open this October.
