Photographer bioreconstruct has up-close photos of the Fast and Furious: Hollywood Drift ride car at Universal Studios Florida. The car, modeled after Dominic Toretto’s 1970 Dodge Charger, is being used for pull-through testing and envelope testing.

Fast and Furious: Hollywood Drift Testing

The car has four seats but three more cars will be attached to create a full train. The frame around the car is for envelope testing, to ensure there’s enough clearance for guest heads and arms. The frame also represents the car when turned at a 90° angle.

In these photos, we can see the car’s headlights and tail lights. “Charger” is even visible on the front. Tires have yet to be added.

The tires will help block the car’s intricate carriage, which allows it to spin like it’s drifting. Right now, however, the car is being calmly towed along the track in short distances.
