Five Guys opened at Universal CityWalk Orlando this past weekend. The restaurant replaces the Burger King Whopper Bar, which closed permanently in April.
Five Guys at CityWalk
The arrow signs near Voodoo Doughnuts have yet to be updated to include Five Guys. Instead, there’s a temporary A-frame sign at the bottom of the staircase.
Five Guys is in the cafeteria at the top of the stairs, joining Moe’s Southwest Grill and Panda Express. There is Five Guys signage above the cafeteria windows.
Five Guys has its own entrance on the corner of the building.
Inside, it has new tile flooring and furnishings. Light wood-tone seating with red accents match decorative pieces on the ceiling.
A long bench features a mural of the Universal Orlando Resort skyline, including the iconic archway, globe, Islands of Adventure lighthouse, Epic Universe entrance, Jurassic World VelociCoaster, and Stardust Racers. The red and white color scheme is the usual Five Guys colorway.
On the right upon entering are four kiosks where guests can order. Or they can walk past these and order with a team member at a counter.
The kiosks have touch screens and pin pads. If you have any allergies or are using a gift card, you must order at the register rather than at a kiosk. After ordering, you receive a receipt with your order number.
There are two registers although only one was manned during our visit. Above are screens displaying the menu, which appears to be a standard Five Guys menu with burgers, fries, and milkshakes.
On the wall near the registers, a sign states where today’s potatoes are from. On Sunday, they were from Robinson Farms in Rexburg, ID.
A light-up “Five Guys” sign is on the red wall above the register and open kitchen.
After ordering, guests can take a seat or wait near the pick-up counter. The seating options include benches, booths, stools, and chairs around tables.
Benches have built-in gray padding. Barstools are gathered at a high-top table. The stools have footrests.
There is additional seating outside or in the rest of the cafeteria, where guests will find Moe’s and Panda Express.
At the red pick-up counter are condiments, including Heinz ketchup dispensers.
Of course we grabbed ourselves a burger and shake.
