There are four scare zones and two street experiences at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights in Universal Studios Florida.
Halloween Horror Nights 35 Scare Zones
Infernal Carnival of Nightmares
Location: Illumination’s Minion Land

Jack and Dr. Oddfellow invite you to step right up and see what horrors hide in every shadow at a sinister spectacle decades in the making.
Enter Halloween Horror Nights through the Infernal Carnival of Nightmares, which is also the overarching theme of this year’s event. Guests will encounter chainsaw-wielding clowns and past HHN icons like The Caretaker and The Usher.

Jack and Oddfellow greet guests from tall platforms in front of the Halloween Horror Nights sign. You’ll notice a recurring purple and red color scheme throughout representing Oddfellow and Jack respectively. There’s a ticket booth to one side and fog everywhere.

Just past the entrance trusses is an Oddfellow Trading & Imports truck filled with carnival props.

On the street between Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem and Minion-Con: Villain Blast are six platform elements representing HHN 35 in general and the five IP-based haunted houses: Hellraiser, Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness, Sinners, Stranger Things 5, and Evil Dead Burn.
Downtown Clowntown
Location: New York

The city that never sleeps becomes a waking nightmare when its boroughs are overrun by murderous clownsfolk who can’t wait to tear you limb from limb. Welcome to the neighborhood!
Downtown Clowntown features the Killer Klowns From Outer Space Art the Clown from Terrifier, Chance the Clown, and Jack’s brother Eddie Schmidt. At either end of the scare zone are defaced “Downtown Clowntown” street signs.

The Killer Klowns are mostly in the area outside Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon. Colorful oversized Killer Klowns-inspired props include a machine with their dangling cotton candy cocoons.

Across from the Tribute Store entrance is a big stage with a Jack the Clown statue and tents. Here, guests will see Jack’s assistant Chance holding court. During her show, she tortures humans trapped in machines inside her tents.

Jack also sometimes makes appearances alongside Chance.
Next to Chance’s stage is an ice cream truck similar to the one in Killer Klowns From Outer Space but it’s branded as Chance’s Creamery. Eddie appears outside the Tribute Store. He and Chance both have updated looks for this year’s event.

A pair of colorful clown cars are parked in the street. Scareactors include clowns, stilt-walkers, and terrified visitors. There’s a vintage-style wagon from Dr. Oddfellow’s Grand Carnival.

Past Revenge of the Mummy is the Midway of the Bizarre. A carnival barker asks guests to play in front of a prize wall of bloody body parts and Ikea stuffed animals. When night falls, projections on the ground include colorful swirls. Jack’s face is projected on the side of the currently-closed Finnegan’s Bar & Grill.

At the end of the street is a stage with a big “35” at the top. Here, a jester hosts a brief marionette show telling Jack and Oddfellow’s story. See some of the show in our video below.
Art the Clown appears on the street next to Transformers: The Ride – 3D. There’s a truck for Iron Side Demolition Specialists with a body inside.
Art’s stage is decorated for Christmas, including a hanging body wrapped in lights. Art wears his Santa Claus costume as he causes chaos, including torturing “guests” (scareactors dressed as guests).

Creepy versions of Christmas songs play in this space. The Little Pale Girl also makes appearances.
Sideshow of Decay
Location: Hollywood

In the carnival junkyard, Cindy Caine has opened a portal where decayed nightmares from Halloween Horror Nights past are back to haunt you.
Sideshow of Decay features Cindy Caine, the daughter of Albert Caine a.k.a. The Caretaker. Also appearing is The Storyteller, another past HHN icon who has been de-aged from old to young thanks to Oddfellow’s magic.

The roaming scareactors are, as the name suggests, kind of decaying. Some of them are zombie-esque with exposed ribs or mushrooms growing out of them. Others look more like goblins. You might recognize some characters from past scare zones, like cat people from The Cat Lady of Crooked Lane (HHN 34).

The stages feature broken-down carnival attractions with overgrown vines and weeds. Mutated creatures and performers scare guests from these platforms.

Cindy and her father appear on a large float in the center of the street. On the sides of the float are drawings by Cindy alongside cages with skeletal remains inside. Cindy sings children’s songs and Dr. Oddfellow joins sometimes.
FORTNITEMARES
Location: Central Park, Hollywood

Drop from the Battle Bus into the chaos of FORTNITEMARES. The Storm is spreading through this scare zone, bringing new horrors with it.

Based on Fortnite’s annual Halloween event, this space features Skull Trooper, Hollowhead, Curdle Scream Leader scareactors. The main entrance has purple-orange tendrils creeping up trusses to the “FORTNITEMARES” sign. A Skull Trooper greets guests at the end.

As guests walk through the scare zone, they pass haphazard forts made of wooden planks, crates, hay barrels, and jack-o’-lanterns. There are various strange alien creatures.

At night, lightning effects flash across the trees. Pulsing green lights illuminate the area. There is a life-size llama piñata.

The Curdle Scream Leader and Hollowhead appear on a platform at the far end of the scare zone.

A large platform near the end of the zone has a “FORTNITEMARES” sign. A Skull Trooper paces here.

The biggest set piece is the black battle bus outside Animal Actors On Location! It’s decorated with gravestones and cartoon-ish machinery. Purple lights glow from within.

Roaming in this area is Lady Liberty from The Purge, apparently teasing a crossover between the franchise and game coming soon.
Mel’s Die-In: Zombies
Location: Mel’s Drive-In, Hollywood

Zombie carhops have swarmed Mel’s Die-In, and they aren’t just here for the burgers.
Returning from last year, this experience involves zombie carhops roller-skating outside Mel’s Drive-In. As usual, the restaurant’s neon sign has been switched to read “Die-In” for the season.
Club Horror
Location: San Francisco

The streets of San Francisco have been transformed into Club Horror, where the DJ’s undead but the vibe is alive and well.
Club Horror is a dance party space with a bar. Go-go dancers perform on platforms in the area.
