We got a first look at the new pressed pennies and collectible medallions guests will be able to get at The Magic of Disney Animation in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The Magic of Disney Animation Pressed Pennies
The machines are in the Studio Store, the gift shop for The Magic of Disney Animation. These are the next generation machines Walt Disney World has been rolling out for the past few weeks.
There are eight penny designs. One is $1 or all eight are $5.
All the designs feature the wordmark for The Magic of Disney Animation alongside characters:
- Tinker Bell
- Mickey
- Moana
- Rapunzel
- Dumbo
- Mulan
- Chip ‘n’ Dale
- Donald
Several of these characters will be available for meet and greets in The Magic of Disney Animation.
The Magic of Disney Animation Medallions
There are four medallion designs. One is $10 or all four are $35.
Two medallions are golden and two are silver, all with The Magic of Disney Animation wordmark on the back. The colorful designs on the front feature:
- Mickey and Minnie
- Stitch
- Genie
- Ariel and Flounder
Mickey and Minnie are straight out of Once Upon a Studio. The other three represent films developed at Disney’s defunct Florida animation studio.

The Magic of Disney Animation officially opens on September 14.
