The last visible section of the attraction building for The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure at Disney California Adventure Park is now obscured by scaffolding and black scrim.
The Little Mermaid Exterior Refurbishment
Last week, we saw scaffolding and some black scrims on this last portion of the building. The building has been covered in scaffolding and scrims since August.
A few days later, the scaffolding and scrims reached above the building’s roof. There was a gap in the scrims near the center of the building, but it’s otherwise completely covered.
The rest of the building has themed scrims. Presumably, the black scrims will be replaced by themed scrims soon.
The ride is still open with gaps in the construction walls for guests to enter. Teal seashell-shaped signs on the walls guide guests toward the entrance.
The construction work is most likely for general repainting and maintenance of the facade.
