We reviewed the Supernova Sip, which launched at EPCOT for one day only—in celebration of Earth, Wind and Fire’s 1978 hit “September.” It’s available at Connections Cafe on September 21 only.

The drink consists of spicy hot honey syrup, lemon juice, and edible glitter topped with orange cotton candy. A spirited version is also available with Maker’s Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon.
We thought the best thing about the drink was that it looks pretty when you put the cotton candy inside. The DIY element of watching the cotton candy fizzle into the drink is fun, but we couldn’t taste it due to the hot honey syrup. The ingredient takes over the entire drink and leaves nothing but a bitter taste in your mouth.
People who don’t like hot or spicy drinks won’t be fans of this beverage. Even if guests do like the spiciness of the drink, the rest is still quite bitter.

“September” by Earth, Wind and Fire is playing on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind all day long on September 21 in celebration of the lyric: “Do you remember the 21st night of September?”
