Roaming character encounters will still continue in Animation Courtyard after The Magic of Disney Animation officially opens on September 14.
Roaming Characters in Animation Courtyard
Once The Magic of Disney Animation opens, the roaming characters we have seen over the summer will move indoors to Off the Page. However, Animation Courtyard will still feature roaming character encounters. There may also be other roaming characters inside The Magic of Disney Animation.
This may even include some rare characters. For example, during the media preview ahead of the opening, we got to meet Alice, the Mad Hatter, and the Cheshire Cat. (Note: These are not guaranteed characters.)
We were told at this same media event that the roaming characters in the courtyard may have a heavier presence in the summer for Cool Kids Summer each year.
“Off the Page!” is a new meet-and-greet experience at The Magic of Disney Animation, and each space will represent a different stage of the animation process.
Here is the list of characters guests will be able to meet:
- Mulan in Story
- Rapunzel in Layout
- Chip n’ Dale in Hand-Drawn Animation
- Donald and Daisy in CG Animation
- Goofy in Lighting
- Stitch in Effects
Other experiences being offered at The Magic of Disney Animation include Olaf Draws!, Drawn to Wonderland, and Disney Once Upon a Studio Theater.
