Ryman Arts is hosting a screening of Disneyland Handcrafted, followed by a panel with the film’s producer and Imagineers at Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, California.

Disneyland Handcrafted Screening & Panel

The screening and panel will be on Sunday, September 27, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The event will begin with a cocktail reception, followed by a screening of the documentary. Disneyland Handcrafted consists of rare footage from the construction of Disneyland. It was directed by Leslie Iwerks and produced by Mark Catalena.

Disney historian Tim O’Day will then moderate a conversation featuring Catalena, Tom Morris (former Walt Disney Imagineering executive), and Emo O’Brien (Walt Disney Imagineering creative producer).

Walt Disney Imagineering concept artist Joshua You will introduce the discussion exploring the collaboration and mentorship behind the creation of imaginative stories and worlds.

Ryman Arts is a non-profit educational organization founded in honor of Herb Ryman, the artist who first sketched Walt Disney’s idea for a theme park.

Tickets start at $125. They’re available now.
