Universal Orlando Resort crews are starting to install themed set pieces at Fast and Furious: Hollywood Drift, a new roller coaster under construction at Universal Studios Florida. Aerial photographer bioreconstruct shared the following photos taken from above the coaster.

The ride replaces Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit in a site between the park and Hard Rock Café. Crews completed track installation last month. Near the CityWalk lagoon is the 170-foot spike element.

In bioreconstruct’s photo above:
- A temporary ramp for a sidewalk going under part of the coaster track. The sidewalk has yet to open.
- Unthemed temporary concrete on the unopened sidewalk.
- Unthemed temporary concrete on the open sidewalk. The red concrete visible at the ramp and one end of the unopened sidewalk is the permanent look that will eventually replace the other concrete.
- Barricades staged to soon close the bypass sidewalk.

- Supports, likely for a net that will eventually cover the sidewalk.

The coaster continues towards the back of the park, where guests will board near Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Steel is rising for a new facade next to the Ghostbusters firehouse. Rip Ride Rockit went through the firehouse facade but the new coaster does not.

Crews are erecting more steel in and around the train station. Facades and themed elements will eventually hide cars waiting to unload at the station.

Corrugated paneling on a stretch of steel frames makes the walls look like stacked shipping containers. These are ahead of the Peterbilt-style truck installed a few weeks ago. They shipping containers and truck are theming for the coaster’s launch. The track above is for cars returning to the station.

Cars will drive under the trailer of the jackknifed truck when they launch.
Fast and Furious: Supercharged closed last month and some props in the queue may be saved for use at Hollywood Drift.
