More themed solar-powered trash cans have arrived at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. These feature the Chinese Theatre. They are rolling out across all of Walt Disney World.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios Solar Trash Cans

We first spotted a pair of these new trash and recycling cans at the park entrance, in front of a column between tapstiles. The cans are green with “Please Help Keep Our City Clean” emblems depicting the park’s Chinese Theatre.

Another pair of these cans were inside the park, framing the sign where guests can check park hours and showtimes.

The solar panels in the tops of the cans power built-in trash compactors. They have foot pedals but the flaps can also be pulled open. This has proven confusing for guests and Disney even released an instructional video.

Check out the Sorcerer Mickey trash cans in Animation Courtyard.

This trash can style debuted at EPCOT in June and Disney soon after confirmed they would rolling out across the resort. Walt Disney Imagineering worked on the trash can designs. We have also seen the cans at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.
