A new Disney Parks advertisement uses the distinctive sounds of the parks to spotlight Cast Members at work, as well as the thousands of local businesses that work with Disney.
Disney Parks Reveals “Sounds of Disney” Advertisement
From a train whistle to the clatter of plates of beignets, the soundtrack of the ad uses a simple percussive version of the Steamboat Willie melody accompanied by sounds you’ll encounter during a day in the parks.
These sounds are meant to symbolize the more than 403,000 jobs Disney supports nationwide, the products and services supplied to Disney by small and local businesses, and the $67 billion impact Disney has on the economy.

When discussing the inspiration for this ad, Nicole Figueroa-Sierra, the Associate Producer with Disney’s internal creative agency, Main Street, said, “I wanted the ad to take viewers through a day at Disney — what that feels like, but also what that sounds like. It’s these really small things, from the people trimming the flowers to the person pressing the button that starts the fireworks, that come together to create something much bigger.”

To bring the vision together, Evelin Garcia, the Music Supervisor for Main Street, helped capture the sounds guests hear in the parks every day.
When it came to choosing the song, Garcia said, “We were looking for a song that would resonate whether you were visiting Walt Disney World or Disneyland. Steamboat Willie felt universal, and that iconic whistle is instantly recognizable to Disney fans.”
