Having now earned $2.4 billion at the global box office, Brand New Day overtook Avatar: The Way of Water for third place on the all-time list. The Avatar sequel earned $2.3 billion.

Brand New Day likely won’t be able to pass Avengers: Endgame ($2.799B) or Avatar (2.9B), but it could still break the record for highest-grossing movie in North America.

That title is held by Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which earned $936.66 million at the domestic box office. Brand New Day has made $923M domestically, putting it about $13.66M away from beating the record.
