Steakhouse 71 Closed, Reservations Canceled

Steakhouse 71 is an American eatery located in the Contemporary Resort that opened in 2021 during Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, replacing The Wave… Of American Flavors. It acts as an East Coast version of the permanently closed Steakhouse 55 at Disneyland Hotel.

Normally, the restaurant serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, but today, the Disney World calendar is suddenly showing the restaurant as closed:

Furthermore, a now-deleted post on the Walt Disney World subreddit from a guest states that their reservation for today was suddenly canceled, with another commenter saying the same happened to them.

The calendar is still showing the restaurant as open tomorrow, September 7, for Labor Day, although no reservations are available.

No explanation has been given for the closure, but commenters are theorizing that it’s probably something maintenance-related.
