Earlier this year, we saw LEGOLAND Florida debut a one-of-a-kind roller coaster called the Galacticoaster. Well, that ride has now received some high praise from the Golden Ticket Awards!

LEGOLAND Florida opened its first-ever indoor roller coaster on February 27th, and it became the park’s most technologically advanced ride ever. Now, LEGOLAND is being celebrated for a standout year in innovation after earning top recognition in Amusement Today’s 2026 Golden Ticket Awards, and Galacticoaster is at the center.

The brand-new Galacticoaster was just named No. 1 Best Theme Concept at the 2026 Golden Ticket Awards, securing a major accolade for the new LEGO Galaxy land. This is a huge payoff considering it is part of Merlin Entertainments’ largest single in-park investment in the history of its U.S. attractions.

While the number one spot for Best Theme Concept was the greatest accomplishment for LEGOLAND, it wasn’t the only recognition the theme park received. In fact, LEGOLAND Florida and LEGOLAND California got recognized in four total areas for their innovation with the brand-new attraction and the guest experience offered as a whole, including:

• No. 1 Best Theme Concept: Galacticoaster — LEGOLAND California Resort & LEGOLAND Florida Resort
• No. 4 Best New Attraction Installation of 2026: Galacticoaster — LEGOLAND California Resort & LEGOLAND Florida Resort
• No. 5 Best New Coaster of 2026: Galacticoaster — LEGOLAND California Resort & LEGOLAND Florida Resort
• No. 3 Best Family Park of 2026: LEGOLAND Florida Resort

What an honor that Galacticoaster was recognized as the fourth Best New Attraction Installation in all of 2026 and the fifth Best New Coaster of 2026. We’ve also been saying that LEGOLAND Florida Resort is a great family vacation destination, and the proof is in the pudding, with the theme park being named No. 3 Best Family Park of 2026.

The coaster reaches up to 40 mph and features ride vehicles that seat four passengers in one row. The ride also features unique customization elements, with over 620 combinations of decorative vehicle elements, including nose, wing, and tail color. It makes every ride truly different!
