When it comes to dining at the Magic Kingdom, there are MANY options to choose from, including quick-service restaurants, table-service restaurants, and snack carts.

But some of these spots we actually don’t go to because of the food… we go for another reason that has absolutely NOTHING to do with the eats.

We’re heading into Fantasyland to go to Pinocchio Village Haus, but we’re not going for the food — that would be silly! Instead, we’re going for the atmosphere. We recently stopped by this quick-service eatery to review some of the food, but we were actually paying more attention to the ambiance than the dishes in front of us! Why? Because it transported us back in time.

The film was released in 1940, and this dining location pulls some inspiration from the movie with its little indoor village. The outside is designed to look like a building in the village, and when you step inside, you can find truly beautiful artwork commemorating the classic Disney film. The interior design is full of light and dark wood, making the restaurant look old and feel really lived-in. All of these details make this quick-service location worth the visit even if you’re not hungry!

It’s also a great place to take a break from the heat and sit in the air conditioning! There is plenty of seating in Pinocchio Village Haus, so if you’re looking to take a quick break, this is a great spot. Of course, if it’s packed and people with food are looking for a seat, you should give them your spot — head across the way to Mickey’s PhilharMagic and watch a show in the air conditioning! Additionally, it’s one of the only locations that has a water bottle refill station — staying hydrated and staying cool, what’s better than that?

Another cute detail from this location is the Blue Fairy’s Wish Book. Here, guests can write their wishes, so they can come true! This can be found on the first floor in one of the dining rooms of this quick-service location. We flipped through and read some of the wishes, and they were SO sweet! Here are just a few:

• “I wish to get pregnant with a healthy baby in 2026.”
• “My wish is for my family’s health and happiness, and for many more trips together to Disney.”
• “I wish for a happy, healthy, long, loving, and beautiful life with my wife.”

I’m not sobbing; you are.

Unfortunately, one of our favorite parts of Pinocchio Village Haus was taken away — the signs to interact with guests riding “it’s a small world.” Cast Members confirmed that guests were taking these signs, so they are no longer available for guests to use.

Although we do come for the atmosphere, you might as well eat while you’re here! We recently stopped to try a few things, including the Tomato Basil Soup for $4.29, the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich for $13.99, and the Buffalo Chicken Flatbread for $13.29. We actually really enjoyed everything, and when it comes to dining at the Magic Kingdom, this location is definitely one of the better options!

Pinocchio Village Haus just goes to show that not every dining location HAS to be eaten at. Take a break. Admire the atmosphere. Write your wish in a book. But, of course, you can always grab a snack! Stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more on theme parks and beyond!
