SO much is closed at Disney World right now, but one Hollywood Studios attraction is FINALLY open again. Between all the new lands, construction, and exciting projects coming to Disney World (we’re looking at you, Piston Peak, Tropical Americas, and Monstropolis), closures have become a normal part of visiting Disney.

Which is why we always get excited when any attraction or experience reopens, no matter how small. And after a closure this summer, Vacation Fun in Hollywood Studios is officially back!
Vacation Fun is an original animated short that shows in the Mickey Shorts Theater in Hollywood Studios, featuring everyone’s favorite mice, Mickey and Minnie. While this is not a must-do experience in this park, it is a great way to escape the heat, enjoy a cute show, and an amazing option for any little kiddos who might be too short or just don’t want to ride some of the big rides in the park.

This experience closed on August 9th and became the distribution point for the Kermit the Frog Annual Passholder Magnets. However, as of today, September 27th, it is officially back up and running. So if you are looking for a fun AC break in Hollywood Studios, check out Vacation Fun!

Now, if you are in Hollywood Studios and looking for other activities in the AC perfect for the entire family, you have to check out the new Magic of Disney Animation. This is located at the brand-new Walt Disney Studios section of the park and really is a magical experience.

Here you can meet some of your favorite animated characters as they are brought to life in Off the Page.
It’s Mulan!
If you have any littles who need to burn off some energy, the new Drawn to Wonderland Playground is a beautiful play area themed to Alice in Wonderland, and it truly feels like you’ve been transported to a new world.

You can also learn to draw one of your favorite animated characters at Olaf Draws.

And if you’re looking for another spot to sit and relax in the AC, you can visit the Once Upon a Studio Theater, where the popular Once Upon A Studio short that inspired this new area is being played.
