Three new Harry Potter lands are coming to Warner Bros. World at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. The theme park originally announced an upcoming Harry Potter land back in 2022.
Harry Potter Coming to Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi
A webpage for the lands states, “For the first time in the Middle East, fans will explore the wizarding world in an all-new way. The three lands will feature world-exclusive Harry Potter themed rides, created only for Warner Bros. World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.”
The lands will be:
- Diagon Alley: Where a legendary wizarding street is filled with magic, mischief, and untold surprises.
- Hogwarts Castle: Where the world’s most iconic school of witchcraft and wizardry holds more secrets than you might expect.
- The Forbidden Forest: Where an ancient woodland lurks, and not everything is meant to be seen.
Though unconfirmed, the flying Ford Anglia was featured in the announcement and is rumored to be the basis of a ride. According to a Forbes report, the land will include interactive experiences set into the scenery.
More details about attractions, rides, and immersive experiences will be announced later. Construction of the lands is expected to be complete in 2029 but that does not necessarily mean they will open that year.
These will be the first Harry Potter theme park lands not operated by Universal.
Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is an indoor theme park owned by Miral, who will also operate Disneyland Abu Dhabi on Yas Island.
