Universal Orlando has added a tribute to a team member who recently passed away to the H.R. Bloodengutz house at Halloween Horror Nights 35.

Kenneth Leeming, a Universal Orlando Resort team member and podcast host, passed away in early September after being struck by lightning on his way home from work.

Leeming joined Universal in 2015 as a scareactor in the Insidious house. The next year, he was a Vampire Football Player in the Vamp ’55 scare zone.

To honor him, there is now a Vamp ’55 football helmet labeled “for Kenneth” atop a TV in H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: A Halloween Fright-Tacular, which is located in the same spot as the 2015 Insidious house.

Kyle Fleming, Leeming’s co-host on the podcast Big Dumb Stuff, wrote on Instagram, “Kenneth has continued to grow within Universal and loved working in the parks, he loved to tell stories of all the things that happened with his favorite characters that day. It was something I looked forward to almost every day. Kenneth was so excited for this 35th year of HHN, and it’s very cool to know that he is there in spirit every night. We love you Kenneth, and we miss you every day, and now you are in the fog with us.”

He thanked Mike Aiello, Ramon Paradoa, and others for making the tribute happen.

Fleming announced Leeming’s passing on September 2, sharing a SpeakPipe link for audio messages about Leeming to be included in the podcast’s final episode, as well as a GoFundMe to help Leeming’s family with funeral expenses.

“Thank you for everything every single one of you,” Fleming wrote. “This has been an amazing year. But most importantly, thank you Kenneth. For being the best friend first, roommate second, and brother third.”
