To celebrate the 15th anniversary of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Japan, merchandise collections feature classic anime and manga characters entering the worlds of Universal.
Halloween Horror Nights Merchandise
Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece finds himself in Jurassic Park on a series of accessories and apparel. He’s pictured leaping over the tail of a T. rex at the famous Jurassic Park entrance with The Flying Dinosaur roller-coaster in the background. “Universal Studios Japan” is across the bottom in lettering inspired by the Jurassic Park films with One Piece iconography.
The art is featured on a t-shirt (¥5,500) and tote bag (¥4,900).
A stainless steel water bottle (¥3,500) includes images of several different dinosaur species and more One Piece characters.
Conan Edogawa and Professor Agasa from the Case Closed a.k.a. Detective Conan series become Marty McFly and Doc Brown in a collection inspired by Back to the Future. The pair are featured in artwork replicated the Back to the Future movie poster with “Universal Studios Japan” instead of the film’s name. This art is on a t-shirt (¥5,500), figure (¥6,300), and heat-changing mug (¥3,300).
Universal Studios Japan previously announced a collection inspired by Junji Ito’s Tomie. This includes a t-shirt (¥5,500), notebook with stickers (¥2,000), face towel (¥2,000), and cosmetic keychain (¥2,500).
The merchandise has artwork of the titular Tomie in Halloween Horror Nights’s Street Zombies experience. She holds a HamiKuma plush and wears a Street Zombies high school uniform.
Other Halloween merchandise at Universal Studios Japan is inspired by Hello Kitty, Resident Evil, Chainsaw Man, and HamiKuma.
