Vacation Fun – An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie didn’t reopen as scheduled today, September 27, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios following the distribution of Annual Passholder magnets.
Vacation Fun Did Not Reopen as Planned
Disney originally announced that Vacation Fun would reopen today, September 27, after a six-week closure so the Mickey Shorts Theater could host distribution of the Kermit Annual Passholder magnet from August 11 to September 24.
Vacation Fun had hours listed again beginning on September 27, indicating it would reopen, but today, there was still a sign placed outside the theater reading, “Vacation Fun. Sorry no shows today.”
The doors to the exit of the theater are also closed where there were photo ops inspired by the Mickey and Minnie animated short, including Potatoland.
Vacation Fun is an original animated short film starring Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The show celebrates the duo’s favorite vacation memories. It includes never-before-seen animation mixed with clips from these Mickey Mouse shorts:
- Panda-monium
- Couples Sweaters
- Potatoland
- Croissant de Triomphe
- Entombed
- Dumb Luck
- Al Rojo Vivo
- Yodelburg
- Outback at Ya!
