A new episode of Walt Disney Imagineering’s WED Walks series explores the Easter eggs of The Magic of Disney Animation at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The experience will open on September 14.

The Magic of Disney Animation Easter Eggs

Guests will enter into the Reception area. Inside and out, this experience is inspired by the real Roy E. Disney Animation Building in Anaheim. On the wall are tiles showing various Disney movie scenes.

The chandelier is jars of “paint” that glow in different colors, synchronizing with the lights in Off the Page! visible through the Reception’s windows. There are also paintbrushes hidden among the jars with animators’ favorite colors.

The Reception has a Lost & Found featuring items Disney characters lost. Figaro is napping on top of a box. You’ll probably recognize the Sundrop Flower and a glowing lantern from Tangled. Other lost items include the titular Black Cauldron.

In the lobby for Once Upon a Studio Theater, images from films come to life. Guests can use MagicBand+ to interact with some large images.

Inside the theater, character sketches are on the carpet. Walt Disney Imagineering worked with Walt Disney Animation Studio create brand-new animated portraits next to the screen depicting characters coming to life and heading to the big screen for the group photo at the end of Once Upon a Studio.

The video also looks at Easter eggs in Drawn to Wonderland playground, Off the Page meet and greets, and the Olaf Draws class.
