In October 2024, the resort announced a $275 million update to its meeting spaces and guest rooms. The expansion included 120,000 square feet of added space to its pre-existing meeting and convention space, a two-story annex at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, state-of-the-art event technology, and the modernization of the hotel’s existing 333,000 square feet of meeting space.

The last major expansion to the hotel’s meeting spaces was in 2003. Today, after the expansion, the resort is the largest convention hotel on the U.S. Eastern Seaboard, offering 600,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.
