After 19 years at Warner Bros. and its successor, Warner Bros. Discovery, legal executive Dan Weinberger is joining The Walt Disney Company as deputy general counsel.
Dan Weinberger Joins Disney

According to an internal memo obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, Weinberger will oversee corporate transactions for Disney beginning September 28.
The memo was distributed by David Howard, general counsel for Disney Corporate Legal. Howard’s portfolio includes corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, antitrust matters, and compliance.
Weinberger most recently served as senior vice president of business and legal affairs at Warner Bros. Discovery. His work included mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt investments, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and other corporate transactions.
He also advised senior leadership on deal structures, negotiation strategies, and execution. Among his most significant projects were the $108 billion sale of Time Warner to AT&T and the $43 billion combination of WarnerMedia and Discovery. Weinberger also worked on the expansion of Warner Bros.’ video game business and joint ventures in the Chinese entertainment market.
Weinberger earned his Juris Doctor from the UCLA School of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University.
