Disney made an animatronic I want to hug SO badly, and honestly, I’m a little upset that I can’t. Why would they make it look so adorable and cuddly and then not let me run up to it and hug the most huggable snowman around?
He’s just asking for warm hugs!
Say hello to Olaf! He lives in The Magic of Disney Animation at Walt Disney Studios. That’s the new land that took over Animation Courtyard in Hollywood Studios. It officially opens to the public on September 14th, but we got an early look to check Olaf out!
Olaf Draws! lets you become a Disney animator. Olaf takes center stage as your companion as you learn how to draw some of Disney’s most popular characters. Since he’s just a happy snowman, he’s joined by real Disney animators who teach you how to make your own sketch. Olaf is sitting at the animator’s desk, ready to join in.

The Olaf animatronic is so neat! Josh Gad, who voiced Olaf in Frozen, has come back to do original dialogue for the experience. Gad said, “I’m so thrilled that a whole new generation of kids can dream of becoming animators one day and can actually begin their journey right here on the studio lot.”

When we visited, we got to draw Mickey, Genie, and Stitch! We’re so happy drawing classes are back in Hollywood Studios, and we think we’re going to visit quite a bit. Obviously, we’ll have to learn how to draw every single character.
