Get ready to paint the town, or at least Disney World’s Boardwalk, because Hurly-Burly is almost here!

The new seaside-theater lounge opening on Disney’s Boardwalk on October 1st. Many guests are wondering what the best way to get there is. It’s a totally fair concern, and the answer changes how you should plan your visit. So let’s break down both halves of this — what Hurly-Burly actually is, and how to get there.

Will they take Advance Dining Reservations?

Disney has confirmed that Hurly-Burly will be walk-up only, with no reservations required. Disney did note that all offerings are subject to change and availability. That puts Hurly-Burly in the same category as Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto — you show up, and you’re seated (or standing!) as space allows.

That’s charming in theory, but it does create the exact headache our reader flagged: Disney’s Boardwalk parking lot is normally reserved for BoardWalk Inn guests and those with confirmed dining reservations, and security tends to get stricter about turning away guests without one, especially later in the day. Since Hurly-Burly can’t provide you with a reservation to show at the gate, driving yourself and parking at the Boardwalk isn’t a reliable plan for this one — especially if you’re headed over in the evening for the 21-and-up scene. The good news: you don’t need a car (or a parking spot) to get to the Boardwalk at all. Here’s every other way in.

Getting to Hurly-Burly Without a Car

• Walk from EPCOT’s International Gateway — you can walk to Disney’s Boardwalk from EPCOT‘s International Gateway, between the France and UK pavilions. It’s a scenic 5-to-10-minute stroll along the water, and it’s an easy way to cap off a day in EPCOT before heading over for trivia or evening cocktails.
• Walk from Disney’s Hollywood Studios — Boardwalk is also walkable from Hollywood Studios, along the same waterfront path that passes the Swan, Dolphin, and Yacht & Beach Club. Budget closer to 15–20 minutes.
• Ride the Skyliner — the Skyliner doesn’t have a station directly at the Boardwalk, but its EPCOT station sits just outside International Gateway, and you don’t need a park ticket to ride it or to walk from that station to the Boardwalk. This works from any Skyliner-connected resort:
  • Disney’s Riviera Resort
  • Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
  • Disney’s Pop Century Resort
  • Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios

• Take a Friendship Boat — these run a direct loop connecting Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Swan and Dolphin, Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club, Disney’s Boardwalk Inn, and EPCOT, with a stop right at the Boardwalk. Like the Skyliner, you can access the EPCOT-side dock without a park ticket since it sits outside the turnstiles.
• Take a resort bus — if you’re staying elsewhere on property, Disney’s resort buses run to the Boardwalk Inn, Beach Club, or Yacht Club directly from the theme parks or Disney Springs.

Once you’re there, here’s the atmosphere Disney is promising. Disney wrote “Step inside this historic seaside theater, once the home of the BoardWalk’s most celebrated vaudeville performers. Now, nearly a hundred years later, Hurly-Burly is opening its doors once again.” The venue runs on a split timeframe, as 4PM–9PM will be family-friendly daytime hours, with host-led activities like trivia and other games for all ages. Then the vibe shifts at 9PM and later for an adults-only, 21+, evening scene, with live music performances that lean into the space’s historic seaside-theater setting.

And if you just want a drink without committing to finding a seat, there’s also a walk-up window on the Promenade serving select cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks to guests strolling the Boardwalk — no walk-up-only lounge access required for that one at all.
