6 Game-Changing Disney Announcements for November

6 Game-Changing Disney Announcements for November

November 2026 is shaping up to be a MAJOR month for the Walt Disney Company, and I’m pretty excited for it, which means you should be too!

Holiday decor

The holiday season — my personal favorite time of the year at the company’s theme parks — is set to begin in earnest across both the Disney World and Disneyland resorts, while some major properties are set to debut both in theaters AND on Disney+ in November! Let’s take a look!

Hexed Releases November 25th

Disney Animation Studios’ latest film Hexed is set to release on November 25th. The film, which stars Hailee Steinfeld and Rashida Jones, revolves around “an impulsive and unconventional teenage girl named Billie (Steinfeld) who discovers secret magical abilities which, once unleashed, hurtle her into a spectacle-filled journey out of suburbia and into a vast witch realm called Hexe. Forced to team up with her cautious mother, Alice (Jones), they uncover family mysteries that could change the world of witches forever.”

Hexed is directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand, co-directed by Josie Trinidad, and produced by Roy Conli and Yvett Merino. In addition to Steinfeld and Jones, the film stars Tracey Ullman as the enchanted feather quill pen Ms. Quill, and Stephen Fry as the magical journal Elias Quire.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 Debuts on Disney+ on November 20th

Moving from the big screen to the small (or whatever size one chooses to stream on), the third season of the popular Disney+ series is set to debut on November 20th. Based on The Titan’s Curse — the third installment of the book series by Rick Riordan — season 3 “finds Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) facing a quest unlike any other. Annabeth Chase (Leah Sava Jeffries) has suddenly gone missing, a legendary goddess is in danger, and new demigods are discovering their identities.”

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Begins November 8th

November 8th will see the 2026 debut of the ever-popular Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. As usual, the event will offer special presentations including Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, Club Tinsel, and Disney Junior Jingle Jam. Guests will also have access to Magic Kingdom attractions (some with holiday overlays), photo opportunities with characters, exclusive treats, and tasty cookie and cocoa spots offering complimentary snacks and drinks to enjoy throughout the party!

The attractions with holiday overlays include:

  • Space Mountain will feature “high-energy holiday tunes and festive interior lighting.”
  • The Tomorrowland Speedway transforms into Tomorrowland Speedway Race, which is “filled with thousands of lights, stylized décor and a fun, futuristic holiday soundtrack.”
  • The Mad Tea Party becomes a “wild and wacky Christmas party––where you can spin your teacup to one of 4 holiday combos of lights and music.”
  • Jungle Cruise transforms into the Jingle Cruise, a version of the classic “packed with holiday-themed puns.” Of note, the Jingle Cruise can be enjoyed during the party or all day long at the Magic Kingdom.
  • Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor puts “some ‘ha ha ha’ in their ‘ho ho ho’ with a seasonal show.”

Festival of the Holidays begins on November 27th

While the 2026 International Food & Wine Festival is scheduled to end on November 21st, EPCOT won’t be festival-free for long. Only about a week until the 2026 International Festival of the Holidays launches on Black Friday, November 27th. One of the most beloved parts of the Festival of the Holidays is the Candlelight Processional. A longtime Disney tradition, the nightly event features celebrity narrators reading the Biblical Christmas story, joined by a 51-piece orchestra, the Voices of Liberty, and a choir of more than 150 Disney Cast Members and community singers.

Holidays at the Disneyland Resort start on November 13th

Holiday cheer isn’t limited to the East Coast, as Christmas celebrations come to the “Happiest Place on Earth” starting on November 13th. Offerings at Disneyland include Disney characters in their Christmas best, the Christmas Fantasy Parade, the Believe… in Holiday Magic fireworks, wintertime enchantment of Cinderella Castle, and Holiday ride overlays of “it’s a small world” and, of course, Haunted Mansion Holiday.

Meanwhile, California Adventure offers World of Color – Season of Light, and a pair of Holiday overlays in Cars Land (Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree). The park is also home to the Festival of Holidays, which offers a diverse variety of flavorful food and beverages, a daily rotation of live entertainment, and unique festival merchandise.
