8 Weeks When Disney World Hotels Will Be CROWDED in 2027

8 Weeks When Disney World Hotels Will Be CROWDED in 2027

Believe it or not, there was a time when Disney World had an “off season” — when things at the resort were actually somewhat slower. (I’m old enough to have experienced it, which is probably a sign that I should look into why my back and knees crack, but I digress…)

Ugh — another line!

While that’s no longer the case, there are times when Disney World is busier than others. If your goal is to avoid crowds in 2027, you may want to sidestep these 8 weeks.

February 13th – 20th

Going by previous years, the first truly crowded post-New Year’s week of 2027 should be the week of President’s Day (mid-February). With loads of kids around the country off from school and their families looking to escape colder climates for the (comparatively) warmer temperatures of Central Florida, this week is traditionally one of the resort’s busiest. The fact that, this year, Valentine’s Day and the Super Bowl both fall during the same period will likely make it even busier.

March 21st – 27th

Truth be told, most weeks in March and April will likely be busy ones for Disney hotels thanks to spring break happening at various times depending on the area/country. This year the apex of the season will be the final full week of March.

Spring Break Crowds

April 18th – 24th

Cheer and dance competitions are a staple at Disney World from January through April each year, with the most crowded weeks coming in the latter months. The All-Star Resorts — All-Star Sports in particular — will likely see the largest of these groups because, you know… sports!

June 27th – July 3rd

While there may not be a true off-season anymore, the traditional summer vacation remains one of the busiest times of year at Disney World, with the largest crowds visiting near the 4th of July. In 2027, the 4th itself falls on a Monday, making for the perfect long weekend.

August 29th – September 4th

While the middle weeks of August do usually see fewer crowds than the summer season immediately preceding them, things will likely pick up in the final week of the month. Historical precedent tells us that it will begin with the initial weekend of the International Food and Wine Festival and end with Labor Day weekend. In addition, there will likely be several Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party dates during this period.

November 21st – 27th

In the last decade, the holiday season has arguably become the most in-demand at Disney World, and things really kick into high gear during Thanksgiving week. Guests come to spend the holiday — which falls on November 25th in 2027 — and then enjoy the first day of EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays. That annual event, which features the Candlelight Processional and holiday foods and traditions from around the world, historically kicks off on the day after Thanksgiving each year.

December 19th – 25th and December 26th – January 1st

Disney’s crowd levels will climax in the final two weeks of the year. From the 19th to the 25th, guests will pack the parks and hotels for what history tells us will be the final Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party of the year, plus Christmas itself.

Then the 26th to the 1st will likely be even more crowded, as guests flood into the resort in the week between Christmas and New Year’s, culminating in the massive blowout to end the year.
