The fifth design can be seen on the right, which features Mickey Mouse in a vintage costume with smaller images of the park icons: Cinderella Castle, Spaceship Earth, the Hollywood Tower Hotel, and Tree of Life. “Walt Disney World” text is at the top in blue, and “5 Magical Years” is at the bottom on a blue and yellow banner.
Guests can find Cast Members to grab some 55th anniversary stickers.
Walt Disney World Resort opened on October 1, 1971. The park’s president, Joe Schott, will deliver brief remarks at 8:50 a.m. today in front of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom to celebrate the milestone. He also sent out a message that appeared in the Disney World app.
The Walt Disney World 55th anniversary collection is available at the parks, and in addition to apparel and accessories, there are special edition pins and a Cinderella doll. The 55th anniversary MagicBand+ is also available both online and at Walt Disney World.
