Someone took “spark the middle” literally with their One Wish Churro, as a fire broke out at a Universal Studios Hollywood churro cart during the final Friday of Halloween Horror Nights 2026.
Churro Cart Catches Fire During Halloween Horror Nights
Technically, it’s the Wanta Fanta cart on the Upper Lot at Universal Studios Hollywood, but it’s where you can purchase churros — including the event-exclusive One Wish Churro — so it’s colloquially known as the churro cart.
Instagram user afterdarkproductionspg shared two Reels of the churro cart fire, which ignited somewhere around the cart’s trash can. The first shows a Team Member directing guests past the cart, then zooms in to show the smoke plume rising from the nearby area.
CURRENTLY A FIRE AT UNIVERSAL BY THE CHURRO CART 🚨
The second Reel shows Team Members hitting it with fire extinguishers as guests watch from behind ropes, some enjoying their One Wish Churros purchased from the same cart.
UPDATE: employees have brought out the fire extinguisher and blocked off the area
One Wish Churro
Crowds for Universal Studios churros are busier than usual thanks to the Obsession-themed One Wish Churro, only available during Halloween Horror Nights. The chocolate churro comes in a special carton that copies the One Wish Willow packaging from the hit horror film.
