Foundation work continues at the future Piston Peak National Park in Magic Kingdom, with stacks of materials and developing structures staged within the busy construction site.
Piston Peak National Park Construction

During our previous visit on October 28, crews were preparing additional sections for concrete after expanding an earlier pour. Our latest photos offer another look at the slabs and surrounding work areas as construction progresses.
Several smooth, light gray concrete surfaces are visible between wooden forms near the Liberty Square side of the site. The sections sit at different elevations, with a sloping concrete surface connecting portions of the work area.

Elsewhere, stacks of white concrete formwork panels are staged across from The Haunted Mansion. The panels are bundled together beside excavators and other construction equipment.

A broad gravel-covered area provides space for utility vehicles and machinery. A large gray tank trailer with yellow railings is parked nearby, along with a green towable pump and an orange roller. Blue and orange safety fencing separates the equipment staging areas from adjacent excavations.

The tall concrete walls remain prominent throughout the site. Their upper edges slope and step down toward lower connecting sections, outlining portions of the developing construction area.

Several rustic props also remain visible above the barriers, including a windmill, an elevated wooden structure decorated with a horn and metal pan, and a tall birdhouse with circular openings. A rope-bound wooden support with trailing greenery stands behind another stretch of wall.
Piston Peak National Park

Piston Peak National Park is the Cars-themed expansion of Frontierland, replacing the former Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island. Its setting draws inspiration from the American West and real national parks.
The area’s main attraction, Cars Ridge Run Rally, will take guests on an off-road race through mountainous terrain, including a snowy summit and geyser field.
A second attraction, Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin-Along, will offer a family-friendly demolition derby experience featuring a school-bus-sized Miss Fritter Audio-Animatronic.
