Messi and the Giants was originally announced back in 2024. The series follows 12-year-old Leo, who becomes trapped in an alternate reality ruled by giants. In order to return home, he must compete in soccer games, defeat giants, and save the fractured realms of “Iko.” Along the way, Leo must rely solely on his own strength and the power of teamwork to succeed.

Lionel Messi debuted the teaser trailer at San Diego Comic-Con Málaga. The teaser showcases the series’ new original theme song, “Vamos, Vamos, Vamos” by Argentinian Luck Ra, as well as Argentinian actor Milo Burgess-Webb, who voices Leo in the series.

Messi and the Giants is set to premiere on Disney+ globally in Summer 2027, and will also air on Disney Channel.
