It’s been a rainy few days in Central Florida, leading to ride closures and entertainment cancelations at Walt Disney World. Guests who attended soggy Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Parties at Magic Kingdom this week may see a new ticket in their account.
What Happens if Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is Rained Out?
Though Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is not usually canceled due to weather (if the entire park closes for a hurricane, that’s a different story), many of its exclusive offerings can’t go on if it’s pouring rain, including Mickey’s Boo To You Halloween Parade.
To make up for that, Walt Disney World can sometimes transfer party tickets to a future party date. But if all future parties are sold out, as is the case this year, Disney issues guests who had tickets for a rained out party a 1-day ticket with Park Hopper valid for any Walt Disney World theme park up to one year from the party date.
Guests with party tickets for rained out nights will receive an alert that their ticket has been “converted” to the 1-day Park Hopper. Reddit users reported receiving notices about such tickets amid last night’s (Thursday, October 8) rainy Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.
Though the alert says the ticket was “converted,” the 1-day Park Hopper is still valid if guests used their Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party ticket.
These make-up tickets are sent out to guests in waves, so if you attend a stormy party, you might not see the ticket right away. If you think you should receive a make-up ticket but haven’t, contact Walt Disney World guest services.
