Disney Entertainment and Netflix have entered a new licensing agreement that will bring many Disney shows and movies to the streaming platform. The news was first shared by Variety.
Netflix and Disney Licensing Agreement

The new content licensing agreement between Disney Entertainment and Netflix will bring an eclectic mix of movie titles and current television shows to Netflix for varying periods of times.
In some cases, this new agreement is likely for stirring up interest in upcoming releases. Seasons 1 and 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians will be available on Netflix starting October 4 as part of a three-month promotional window ahead of the Season 3 premiere on Disney+. Season 3, which will begin streaming on November 20, is based on The Titan’s Curse, the third book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.


Similarly, all five Ice Age films will be available on Netflix worldwide beginning October 4 for a three-moth promotional period before the six movie, Ice Age: Boiling Point, releases in theaters on February 5, 2027. The movies include Ice Age (2002), Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006), Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009), Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012) and Ice Age: Collision Course (2016).
Select Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar films will also be available to stream in early 2027, including Elio, Soul, Raya and the Last Dragon, and more. The movies will be available to stream globally, with the launch dates varying by region.
Other ABC, Disney, and 20th Television series like Will Trent, Shifting Gears, Tracker, Fresh Off the Boat, This is Us, and many more will also be available to stream with varying launch dates early next year.
