The Convention Center at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort has been undergoing an extensive refurbishment. Concept art of the new design changes was shared recently.

As we previously reported, the Convention Center at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort will undergo a planned refurbishment from August 10, 2026, through late September 2027. The El Centro Corridor and surrounding areas will also go through a refurbishment tied to the Convention Center work.

In the concept art shared today by Disney, the Convention Center and El Centro spaces are being reimagined by Walt Disney Imagineering with updated finishes and furnishing inspired by “the vibrant cultures and natural landscapes of Spain, Mexico, and the American Southwest.”

The Convention Center will remain open and fully operational throughout the refurbishment, with work phased and coordinated around event schedules. The work will take place overnight to minimize impacts on daily operations.
