Disney’s The Little Mermaid and Zara Larsson have come together to inspire a new collection coming to Complex soon.
‘The Little Mermaid’ x Zara Larsson Collection
Disney Style shared on Instagram a new collection of tops, hoodies, enamel pins, and more inspired by the classic animation, The Little Mermaid, in collaboration with Zara Larsson.
The full collection launches on Complex this coming Tuesday, October 27, at 12:00 p.m. ET.
Part of the collection includes two blue zip-up hoodies with different designs. Both hoodies feature silhouettes of Ariel and graphics inspired by her story and underwater world. One hoodie even includes rhinestone decals.
In addition to the zip-up hoodies, the collection will also include a pullover sweatshirt with Ariel and Flounder at the bottom, with “Midnight Sun” written in a script beneath.
The collection also includes other tops like T-shirts, a tank top, and an off-the-shoulder top. Both T-shirts feature a graphic print of Ariel on a rock, gazing into the sky with lyrics to Larsson’s hit song, “Midnight Sun.” There is also a tote bag with the same design being released.
The tank top and off-the-shoulder top feature pink and rose colored silhouettes of Ariel and underwater flowers.
One of the other parts of the collection showcased in Disney Style’s Instagram post was an enamel pin set featuring Ariel and her friends in tandem with Zara Larsson name and song title, “Midnight Sun.”
Bobby Kim (a.k.a. Bobby Hundreds), who serves as Global Creative Director at Disney, said in a statement shared with Complex that this latest Disney collab marks the continuation of a goal to “bridge storytelling with leading musical talent in authentic ways.”
“Zara Larsson is a premium example, allowing us to celebrate The Little Mermaid at the intersection of music, fashion, and fandom through Zara Larsson’s natural affinity and unique aesthetic,” the designer said.
More Ariel-inspired merchandise is coming soon. A limited-edition designer Ariel doll is coming to Disney Parks and online.
