Disney Experiences is inviting New Yorkers to discover Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge through an expansive 3D street mural in Flatiron Plaza.
Lakeshore Lodge Pop-Up Experience
Street artist Tracy Lee Stum has created a preview of this serene retreat through a 3D mural inspired by Daydream River, the resort’s lazy river. Guests can step into this eye-catching sidewalk image to capture photos and video of themselves enjoying one of the resort’s relaxing signature experiences.
The installation is created by American street muralist Tracy Lee Stum, known for her colorful, interactive 3D chalk art. Stum has received numerous awards and accolades for her work around the globe, including a 2006 Guinness World Record for the largest chalk painting by an individual.
Guests can visit today, October 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will find it on the corner of 23rd Street and 5th Avenue in Manhattan.
Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge
First announced in 2018, the resort was originally going to be called Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge, but plans were stalled during the COVID-19 pandemic. Years later, after the resort was thought to be canceled, Disney began filing permits again.
In 2024, they announced the resort again with a new name, Lakeshore Lodge. The resort will be “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists.”
It’s located along Bay Lake, at the former site of the River Country water park, between Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge. It will have 967 rooms, including studios and suites, as well as one- and two-bedroom Lake Houses along the waterfront.
In addition to a grand lobby, lounge, three restaurants, there will also be a fireworks lounge.
Disney Vacation Club Members will have first access to reservations for Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge beginning October 6, and Walt Disney World Annual Passholders will be able to book reservations beginning October 7. Reservations will open to all guests on October 8.
