Disney is rolling out new Cast Member costumes at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. As we’ve seen at some other locations, skirts are no longer an option and all Cast Members now wear pants.
New Polynesian Village Resort Costumes

Several Cast Members kindly posed for us. All the new costumes consist of a button-up shirt and khaki pants. Above are two bellhops, one wearing a blue-green shirt and the other in an orange-red shirt. Both have a leafy pattern on one half.

A front desk Cast Member wears a teal blue top with her khakis, as well as an orange patterned scarf around the neck. These Cast Members previously wore red tops with pants or skirts.

In BouTiki, Cast Members also wear a teal blue shirt or a white shirt with light blue stripes across the chest. Cast Members here previously wore floral patterned shirts with pants or skirts.

Cast Members of Capt. Cook’s continue to wear their Moana-inspired outfits introduced in 2021, although they may be getting new costumes as well. Cast Members told us the costume rollout began on Sunday and everyone at the resort will get new looks.
Pool bar Cast Members at the resort received generic costumes in 2021.
The lack of skirt option follows other costume updates, including at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, where Cast Members all now wear pants or shorts. However, Disney isn’t phasing out skirts entirely. Emporium Cast Members, for example, got new costumes in 2024 and still have skirt options.
