Principal photography for Lilo & Stitch 2 began October 14 on Oahu, Hawai’i and we have our first look at Angel in the sequel.
Stitch and Angel Filming Live-Action Sequel

Reel News Hawaii shared a photo of Stitch and Angel on set on October 19. The pair were sitting on a counter surrounded by fishing poles with Stitch wearing a fishing hat. Though the characters will be CGI in the final film, these detailed props are used as stand-ins while filming.
Filming also took place in and around the Bishop Museum in Honolulu.

Disney confirmed in August that Angel would appear in live-action Lilo & Stitch 2.
The first live-action Lilo & Stitch was directed by Dean Fleischer Camp (Marcel the Shell With Shoes On) and written by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright and Mike Van Waes. Released in May 2025, it ultimately grossed $1.038 billion.
The sequel was announced while the remake was still in theaters. It is being written and directed by Chris Sanders, the voice of Stitch and co-creator of the original animated film. Jonathan Eirich returns as producer alongside Ryan Halprin as executive producer.
Rather than being based on the animated Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch, the live-action Lilo & Stitch 2 will have a new original story. It will release in theaters on May 26, 2028.
