Gideon’s Bakehouse is celebrating their 10th anniversary with a new Artist Edition Trading Card Series.

The series features the creatures of Gideon’s reimagined in different art styles by a variety of illustrators. There will be up to 70 new cards and some of the illustrators will work with Gideon’s on other big projects.
This follows the departure of art director Mr. Eyes earlier this year.

Celebrating our 10th anniversary has sparked excitement for the next decade. Gideon’s is brimming with untold stories, ready to unfold. To bring these tales to life, we are opening doors to new worlds. Let’s start with some fun. How would the creatures of Gideon’s appear through the eyes of the world’s most gifted illustrators? Our very first Artist Edition Trading Card Series answers that question. Today, we’re giving you just a glimpse of what’s on the horizon. This collection will showcase a dazzling array of stunning artists and offer up to 70 brand-new cards to discover! Even better, some of these creative minds will be returning for bigger projects.

Here is a first look at the new art, with the respective artists listed below.
- Andrew Robinson is a multi-award-winning New York Times best-selling illustrator who has painted covers for all the major publishers, illustrating titles such as Batman, Superman, Iron Man, Star Wars, and Black Panther.
- Gris Grimly is an award-winning illustrator best known for his macabre yet humorous books for children and young adults that have inspired so many, including the art direction for Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio.
- Ryan Ottley is the artist and contributing creator of insanely popular INVINCIBLE, now an animated series on Amazon Prime. He’s currently the artist for Marvel’s Amazing Spider-Man and Hulk comics.
- Chris Stevens has been a cover artist for over 10 years, contributing to titles like Captain America, Thor, Uncanny X-Force, Hulk, and What If?, as well as DC’s Batman Beyond, Aquaman, and Detective Comics.
- Dan Brereton is an Eisner Award-winning writer and painter, best known for his book Nocturnals and his work with Neil Gaiman, Clive Barker, Rob Zombie, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Simpsons, Heavy Metal, Marvel, and DC.
- Jill Thompson is a comic artist and writer who has worked in stage, film, and television, well known for her work on Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman characters, her own Scary Godmother series, and Wonder Woman.
Gideon’s Bakehouse opened at East End Market in Orlando in October 2016. It opened a second location at Disney Springs five years later. This past weekend marked the grand opening of Six Ravens, Gideon’s savory food concept also at Disney Springs.
