Grand Floridian Monorail Station Construction Near Finished at Walt Disney World

The refurbishment of the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa monorail station is nearing completion at Walt Disney World.

Grand Floridian Monorail Station Construction

The monorail station refurbishment at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has come a long way since our last update, and is starting to look like its old self.

In our last update, steel beams were still visible on the front facade of the resort’s monorail station, but now almost all of them are covered, except for a small portion of plywood.

On the right side of the resort’s entrance, scaffolding remains, enclosed by a construction wall that wraps around the building’s front right.

The ceiling above the sectioned-off area is still exposed. There is plywood and other residue from contruction still visible.

These beams are visible from the path guests take to walk into the resort. Some of the plywood boards are marked up. Here, we can also still see the steel beams from our last update peeking out.

Still under this sectioned-off area, but closer to the front of the overhand, are two large openings in the ceiling that expose the inner structure and a few wires.
