Disneyland Resort has a new series of double-sided journals featuring art from Disney Little Golden Books based on classic films and attractions.
Haunted Mansion and Jungle Cruise Journal – $24.99
The front of this journal is dedicated to the Haunted Mansion. The art on the cover includes the hitchhiking ghosts, Ezra, Phineas, and Gus, as well as the exterior of the Disneyland Haunted Mansion with ghosts flying out, set against a spooky backdrop.
The back of the journal is dedicated to the Jungle Cruise. The art shows a Skipper navigating the boat with passengers through the river. In the river are two hippos. Surrounding the boat are different tropical foliage and a toucan bird on a tree branch. The backdrop of this art is very colorful.
Inside the journal, the 160 pages are split between the Haunted Mansion and the Jungle Cruise. All pages have small drawings in the corner to represent the two attractions. The ones for the Jungle Cruise feature the toucan from the cover and the Jungle Cruise boat. The Haunted Mansion pages feature the Hatbox Ghost and the Caretaker.
Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland Journal – $24.99
Peter Pan is pictured sitting on a rock talking to the Lost Boys. Wendy is standing behind him and Tinker Bell is on his shoulder.
The other side of the journal features Alice in Wonderland artwork featuring various characters. The Cheshire Cat sits on a branch. The Mad Hatter, March Hare, and the Dormouse are in one corner. You’ll also spot the caterpillar, playing cards, and flowers.
The Peter Pan pages feature Captain Hook, Peter Pan, the Lost Boys, and mushrooms with flowers. The Alice in Wonderland pages have Alice falling in one corner and the White Rabbit in the reverse corner. A dart and hedgehog are in the middle.
Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast Journal – $24.99
Based on the vintage 1940s Cinderella Little Golden Book, this journal features stylized artwork of Cinderella making a pie with the mice.
On the back is poster-like art of Belle in her ballgown with the Enchanted Rose and the Beast in the background.
The Cinderella-inspired pages showcase Cinderella in her ballgown, three of the mice, and her glass slippers. On the Beauty and the Beast pages are Belle, Cogsworth, and Lumiere.
Snow White and Sleeping Beauty Journal – $24.99
On the front of this journal, Snow White is pictured crouching down to smile at the Seven Dwarfs in front of their cottage.
The other side depicts Aurora in her pink ballgown with the fairies flying around her. The castle and kingdom are pictured in the background.
Snow White, the Seven Dwarfs, and the Old Hag are on some pages. Aurora (in her Briar Rose outfit), birds, and Maleficent are on the other pages.
We spotted the Haunted Mansion/Jungle Cruise journal in Madame Leota’s Somewhere Beyond near the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland Park. The others were all in Off the Page at Disney California Adventure.
